Currently settled in London after a few years wandering the planet in my 20s - starting to get itchy feet again. Coming back to South America for a little while with a friend this December/January, would be great to meet locals or other travellers. Current plans for December:

Buenos Aires: 10th-12th
Colonia de Sacremento: 12th-15th
Montevideo and surrounds: 15th - 23rd

After that, we'll play by ear :)

I started using couchsurfing for the community message boards when I was living in Spain and looking for language exchange partners. I've since mostly used it as a way of meeting people - I've lived in London, Lisbon, Seville, New Orleans and Rio and it's been a great way of connecting with locals and travellers alike whenever I find myself in a new place.
