ABOUT ME
My name is Meghan, and I am a current graduate student. My hobbies include traveling, working out, reading, music, going to concerts, cooking, swimming in fresh water, discovering a new bottle of cheap but good red wine, walking off the beaten path, long conversations with great and interesting people, not taking myself too seriously and being adventurous.
I have lived in Mexico, England and Ecuador. I have backpacked Central America and Europe. I have traveled extensively alone (mostly throughout Europe) and found it to be an extremely rewarding and self reveling experience. I speak fluent Spanish, and I am learning Mandarin. When I graduate with my Masters I hope to get a job in China for a few years so I could become truly proficient in Chinese. I am an extremely independent person who is always looking for a new experience.
My idea of traveling consist mostly of hitchhiking, couch surfing, camping and finding interesting and authentic experiences mixed the possible crazy experience we all could use every now and then. Basically, I travel cheap, and I have had a lot of amazing travel experiences both alone, with old friends, new friends and random people I have met on the road. I like the idea of the road... and I believe strongly in the saying "not all who wander are lost."
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to live your own life and learn to be happy with every decision and experience you have ever had. Never stop challenging your beliefs and always keep exploring the world in which we live in.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I look at this as a give and take relationship. I can provide my living space and fragments of my daily life to people looking for a place to crash.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed my way through Europe in 2004. It was a great way to experience the rhythm of the lives of our host and meet great and interesting people. I think couchsurfing is a beautiful exchange of resources, information, conversation and friendship.
