About Me

Born Australian but have spent the majority of my adult life abroad. I'm in Education but trying to transition to becoming a digital nomad after taking an extended sabbatical.

I happiest when I'm travelling, experiencing new places and meeting new people. I'm flexible in that I'm fine with my own company and independent but I also enjoy spending time with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I signed up a while ago but have yet to give it a proper try. I'm hoping to meet and couchsurf with likeminded people or anyone with a willingness to host; we all have interesting untold stories and experiences that I think staying with people in this way is likely to be a great way to meet people from all aspects of life. Hoping to make friendships along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have eclectic tastes from most genres of music. Have a love for AC/DC, Guns'n'Roses, George Michael, Young MC, Tchaikovsky, David Guetta, Eva Cassidy, and Amy Winehouse, amongst others.

Jackie Brown, Dodgeball, Parasite, Dead Poets Society, Issiz Adam, Saltburn, Michael Moore documentaries, and films based on true events such as The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Catch Me If You Can and Into the Wild. I enjoyed Versailles, the Australian true crime series Underbelly, and watching whatever is trending on Netflix months after everyone else.

My current book I'm reading is The Bridge: A Journey Between Orient and Occident by Geert Mac. I like reading Shakespeare, Greek Mythology, short stories, biographies and autobiographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've dabbled in adventure sports, blagged my way into celebrity events and spent a week in silence whilst undertaking challenges designed to break my focus (such as riding a roller-coaster, sitting in the front row of a comedy show, getting waxed, teaching a class of children and travelling to another country).

Teach, Learn, Share

Am open to learning new things, from car maintenance to SLR photography, how to play chess to dropshipping for an e-commerce business, but especially languages, even if it's basic greetings and phrases. I recently bought a flute and am trying to teach myself (I'm not naturally musical).

I can give time and mostly education based knowledge. Travel stories and advice. Having lived in London for more than a decade, some cheap and interesting things to see & do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel stories, English tuition or homework help, gardening, pet care and a handful of tasty recipes.
