Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find the Holy Grail? Create a merrier world by valuing cheer, food, and song over hoarded gold!
ABOUT ME
My passions and motivations lie within children, food, and the environment primarily. The more I discover about each, the more I grow fascinated by the interaction between all three. I'm often as happy listening as I am sharing.
PHILOSOPHY
I've always felt that if I had a motto, it would be "I live to serve." Leaving a place better than I found it is key. I personally place a special emphasis on environment, youth, and positive human interactions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love sharing our accommodations with my surfers! I adored the hosts I experienced years ago in Europe.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
To date, I’ve had the opportunity to host and surf. My experiences were distinct and unique, but I find myself enamored with the project. The opportunity to learn and see life through someone else's eyes is unprecedented!
Interests
I enjoy baking, cooking from scratch, gardening, hiking, camping, backpacking, gaming, teaching, learning, and the marvels of nature.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a wide scope of things, but especially those that educate and those that provoke smiles. Most of my reading is non-fiction around leadership and parenting, but I’m trying to throw in a little fun here and there. I’m pretty amenable to all types of music, but I lean toward classic rock and 90s, which I believe is becoming classic rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw a camouflaged spider that successfully ambushed a honeybee on a thistle. That was a pretty singular find. I'd love to share the fantastic picture we managed to get, too!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have beginning knowledge regarding plants of the Pacific Northwest and would love a hiking buddy. I also feel well equipped to offer some intermediate-level baking/cooking methodology and always recipe-swap! I can also teach a few board games. I've done quite a bit of research on early child-rearing and am always eager to share my learning. I’d like learn to forage more effectively in our local area and get to know the plants of the Northwest as intimately as close friends. Learning more about racial justice and leadership is an interest. I’m also always grateful to those who will bring their language, culture, and customs not just to me but my children as well. I’m very curious and love to learn anything!
