Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I absolutely love travelling and getting a good feel for the culture while I'm in a new place. Its so difficult to find all the little interesting places if you stay at a hotel. And it is just fantastic to make friends with people of different cultures. I travel a fair bit for work as well, and I like to tack on a bit of holiday wherever I end up. If I'm in these places then I'd love to meet local people and have some awesome experiences.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Pacific Rim, Sin City, The Lotro series, Sucker Punch, Fight Club, Pan's Labyrinth and other Guillermo del Toro films, Inception, Life of Pi Not specifically films, but I love my anime: particularly Trigun and Attack on Titan Books: Anything by Ursula K Leguin Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchet. David Eddings and Garth Nix also have several books that I love. The Game of Thrones series. John Dies at the end, Ready Player One,
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Some of the experiences I've had while Scuba Diving have been absolutely amazing. My best one was during a research dive in Barbados. A loggerhead turtle came up to me and inspected me while i was doing research. It was huge enough to have its own little private school of fish around its head. I'll never forget it.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I'm happy to share some of my carribean cooking skills, as well as elite vegan, free-from-everything baking recipes. I've also got lots of stories of all the places that I've been.
My Interests
Scuba diving, dancing (performing and watching), theatre I can rant for an age about the natural world, philosophy, music and ferengi business models.
