About Me
Hello! We are Melisa (37) and Diego (46), a travel-loving couple from Córdoba, Argentina, now navigating the greatest adventure of our lives: raising our three little girls!
We lived in Buenos Aires for 10 years and in 2016 , we spent a wonderful year in Steyr, Austria, where I ended my Master Degree (MBA) . After that , we moved back to Argentina. We’ve been settled in Córdoba for 7 years now, but the 'travel bug' never left us.
I have a degree in Hotel and Tourism Manager and my husband is a Lawyer. We are professionals, but more importantly, we are people-persons. We believe that hospitality isn't just a job—it's a way of life. After years of exploring the world as a couple, we want our daughters to grow up with the same spirit of curiosity .
We are a happy, easy-going family. We love being outdoors, spending our weekends by the river, and just having a good time with friends. We enjoy simple things, like dancing in the living room with our girls or sharing a good meal. We are just people who love life and enjoy meeting others along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a couple, we have traveled to many places around the world, but our most recent trip to Europe and Turkey in 2024 was a milestone for us: it was our first time experiencing Couchsurfing as a family.
We were hosted in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Vienna, Paris, Venice, Rome, and Istanbul. It was a deeply enriching experience for our three daughters to share daily life with locals; watching them connect with different cultures was the highlight of our trip and confirmed why we love this community so much.
As guests, we love to give back. We enjoy cooking for our hosts, sharing little gifts from Argentina, and engaging in great conversations. However, we are very mindful that we are in someone else's home; we always prioritize respecting our host's space and privacy, ensuring a comfortable experience for everyone.
We are fully aware that we are a family of five, and we truly appreciate the generosity of anyone who opens their doors to us. Please know that we are a very adaptable 'team.' We don't need much space,we are perfectly happy sleeping all together on mattresses on the floor if needed.
By hosting us, you are helping our family fulfill the dream of discovering the world together. We are very respectful of your routine: during the day, we are usually out exploring, visiting museums, or enjoying the city, so we won't be in your way. Our goal is to be easy, low-impact guests who bring joy and culture, never a burden.
We also love hosting. We have a very spacious house in Mina Clavero, Córdoba, where we are always happy to welcome travelers. We truly enjoy sharing travel stories and cooking local Argentinean dishes for our guests.
For us, the best part of Couchsurfing is the cultural exchange and the friendships that start over a shared meal.
Interests
Our family is a mix of curiosity and creativity! We are deeply connected to nature and sports, but we also have a huge passion for the arts. Our home is usually filled with the sound of music, as our daughter plays the piano, and we are all avid book lovers .
Travel is our favorite way to learn about the world. Every two years, we make a point to visit the Venice Biennale and the Art Basel fair in Switzerland. We believe that art is a universal language that our daughters should experience firsthand.
In fact, this year (2026), we are embarking on a nearly 3-month journey across Europe. Our main goal is for our three girls to immerse themselves in different cultures, learn from locals, and grow through the incredible experiences that only Couchsurfing and travel can provide

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is always playing in our house! We are big fans of the classics like The Beatles, Queen, and Pink Floyd, but we also love the energy of Coldplay. Since our daughter plays the piano, we enjoy Classical music as well. Of course, we can’t live without Argentinean Rock (Rock Nacional)—we’d love to introduce you to some of our favorite local artists!
We are avid readers and enjoy stories that explore history, travel, and different cultures. In our family, we love movies that inspire us to see the world differently—especially documentaries about nature or the arts, which we often watch together with our girls.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling the world with three young children! Many people think it’s impossible or too stressful, but for us, it has been the most incredible adventure of our lives.
We’ve navigated major European cities, shared local homes, and explored different cultures with our girls. Seeing the world through their curious eyes, watching them make friends despite language barriers or adapt to new places with a smile,is truly amazing. It has taught us that children don't need 'perfect' conditions; they just need an open heart and a sense of adventure. We’ve learned to be a flexible, happy team, proving that family travel isn't just possible, it's life-changing
Teach, Learn, Share
We love sharing our culture! We can teach you how to cook authentic Argentinean dishes (like locro, humita or traditional empanadas) and help you practice or improve your Spanish.
More than that, we offer genuine friendship and great conversations about history, art, and travel. We are always happy to bring a little piece of Argentina to your home through music, stories, and local gifts.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We are always eager to learn about your local traditions, your favorite hidden spots in the city, and your way of life. As a family, we want to learn how different people see the world. If you have a piano, our daughter would love to learn a local melody or share some of the pieces she’s practicing!
