Hey there!

I'm Melissa, from Colombia. Right now I'm living in US as an Au Pair. I'm learning English and the American culture... and during my year in US I want to travel around this beautiful country.

I am a Medicine student in my country. I decided to come to US because i wanted to learn another language which is very important to my career. I was in the medical school in 4th year, when I go back to my country i will start the 5th year and after one year i wll get my grade. I would like to work in a hospital for a while to get some experience and after i would want to study surgery or to be obstetrician.

I am the kind of person who loves to understand what is happening in my environment. I always try to focus on developing areas that can help me work towards my vision of a future in which everyone has everything that is needed, a community and a country where they live prosperously and are happy, not merely surviving.

I'm very proactive, easygoing, honest, passionate, fun and when you get to know me better can find more amazing things!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to travel during my time in US as much as I can and this is a great way to meet and share with interesting people wherever I go. I love having friends from all over the world, getting to know at least a little bit of their culture is really important for me. Living new experiences, make me always happy.

Interests

I love traveling, sharing with people around the world and experiencing other cultures. Traveling is a good way to learn and get greater awareness about the environment and me. Each trip is always a good experience of self-knowledge.

I love dancing, specially latin music.. :), having great conversations, writing, listening music and parties!. Besides this, I enjoy going hiking and camping. I really love being in contact with nature. I love feeling healthy.

I love latin music as reggaeton, salsa, merengue, bachata and pop; but also, i like house, r&b, electronic and pop english music.
