About Me

I have my master's in teaching from USC and a bachelor's in business and behavioral science. I am currently teaching English to refugees in Sacramento.

I really enjoy traveling, meeting new people, learning new things, being outside, hiking, waterfalls, listening to music, cooking, reading, writing, being active, new experiences, and being open to whatever life has to offer. I try to stay positive and enjoy life as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet new people!! It's always a pleasure meeting and getting to know people from different places, with different experiences. I am really just on couchsurfing to make friends and get to know other travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love and appreciate all types of music. I really like classic rock, blues, and Americana. My favorite new artist is Parker Millsap. I saw him open for The Devil Makes Three in January and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

One of my favorite movies is V for Vendetta. I also like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.

My favorite authors are PKD and Chuck Palahniuk. I recently finished reading The Last Lecture and Big Magic. The last thing I read was, The One Thing and I'm currently reading Crucial Conversations by Patterson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I snorkeled with sharks at Molokini Crater (off the coast of Maui). I also got my master's degree in one year, which was definitely a challenge. I hiked Glacier National Park, made it to Logan's Pass, and swam in Lake Travis. I've been to Shinjuku where Godzilla lives in the Tokyo skyline. I worked on a cruise ship for six months and I spent a month backpacking in Europe with three of my friends and survived two weeks of scooting around Ho Chi Minh City, a week in Da Nang and Hoi An.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love exchanging travel stories, backpacking and adventure tales!! I can share cooking tips and food and I have a some experience with salsa dancing and swing dancing that I would happily share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook and share meals. I'm also happy to purchase beverages for any occasion.
