About Me

I love everything about the outdoors. So it’s a good thing that I live in Alaska. I love to hike, camp, fish, and just spend as much time in ten mountains as possible. I have a dog named Olga. I travel as much as possible. The longest I’ve traveled is 3.5 months in Australia on a working holiday visa.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best experiences I have had while traveling have been staying with local and learning about their lives. I don’t want to just see the touristy sites. I want to improve my Spanish skills, learn how to cook local dishes, and most importantly really get to know people and their personal stories. I want to share that experience with others who visit Alaska!

Music, Movies, and Books

Any music! Especially live.
Movies: I’m really into the series Mindhunter right now! So good. I love comedy, action, or drama. I guess I’m a mixed bag that way.
Books: history, adventure, and science mostly. I most recently read The Lost City of the Monkey God: about a recently discovered ancient city in Honduras.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a remote village in Alaska for two years which is only accessible by a bush plane.
