ABOUT ME

i want to visit everywhere in the world! i love learning about new cultures and getting way into them (mayans have been my favorite.) i love to listen to/play music (drums!), organically garden,mosaic and travel. i have traveled all over Europe and the US the past few years. So many good times! i have made so many great friends along the way, and i hope to make more. Several years ago I was in a bind going to bermuda and started my couchsurfing experience...both my hosts were great. i have hosted once and also showed several people around minneapolis.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i was supposed to sail to bermuda , but the boat wasn't ready so I was in a bind for a cheap place to stay in such an expensive place. upon my friends suggestion I joined couchsurfer and found 2 hosts. they were both so kind and helpful and became 2 new friends. i have now hosted once and enjoyed that just as much. I have also hung out with several surfers in minneapolis and showed them the city.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i have been to the yucatan peninsula in mexico....6 times? i know my way around easily and have driven from coast to coast staying in small/mayan villages. i have been to around 10 different ruins. this place never ceases to amaze me. the people are so kind and helpful it makes my heart grow 2 whole sizes! i have been into some mayan homes in the village. one woman showed us how to make corn tortillas from scratch in her amazing little shack kitchen with kittens crawling in the walls. i have handed out envelopes with a nice card and $50 (i put a donation jar at my work)in it to people who i could tell needed it. also touring with a rock band in Europe was an experience of a lifetime!

you can learn something from just about anyone. i know how to play drums and mosaic. i know quite a bit about gardening and cooking. anything i know i will share. anything i share you will know :)
