Overview
About Me
I'm a student currently on my year abroad in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan! I'm having tons of fun having new experiences, meeting new people and improving my Japanese skills!
As a languages undergraduate student, you can probably see that I have a passion for foreign languages and culture and travel! I would love to visit every country on the globe, but my goal for now is to visit each continent! (Except for maybe Antarctica, although that would be pretty cool!)
I'm a fun-loving, easy-going, and optimistic person so I'm sure I can get along with anyone :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a student, I am very poor. Couchsurfing allows young people like me to travel around the world on a budget, and the best part about it is that you can meet locals and make new friends! In my opinion, staying with locals when travelling is a much better experience than staying in a hotel.
I have some experience couchsurfing, as I have hosted an American and surfed twice in France! They were all fantastic experiences and I think Couchsurfing is a really great site.
Interests
My hobbies include watching anime, playing all different kinds of games (from pokemon to final fantasy) and drinking tasty cocktails in cozy bars with friends! Since arriving here in Sapporo I have also been skiing a lot, and I love it!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not really too fussy! I really love The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy among other fantasy/sci-fi books and movies such as Lord of the Rings. A favorite book series of which I am currently reading is The Wheel of Time. I also enjoy reading Japanese manga and watching anime and Studio Ghibli films!
I am into all kinds of music, but I do love electronic music a lot- it's just so great for dancing and also relaxing!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Para-gliding over the French Alps!
I've also spent a few of my holidays working at Disneyland Paris, which was amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: The perfect way to make an English cup of tea. Or the basics of the Japanese/French/English language. I am actually working as a part-time English teacher so I have some experience teaching if you are interested in that.
Learn: Foreign customs and cultures. How to cook foreign cuisine. Foreign languages.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can tell you all about my country and my hometown (the town where Shakespeare is from!)
I can make sure we have fun together and hopefully you will make a great friend out of me!
