Hi! I'm an enthusiastic User Experience Designer. I started my study in The Hague (The Netherlands), which I combined with an exchange in Stuttgart (Germany). Then I decided to do my masters in Linköping (Sweden). Now I'm back in The Netherlands. I play piano, tennis, and love skiing and hiking. In my free time you can find me behind my camera. I try to go around by bike as much as possible (Dutch people...;))

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I don't like tourist attractions (or call them tourist traps ;)). When travelling somewhere, I want to experience the real culture, and find the 'hidden spots'. Couchsurfing gives me both – and lets me meet real cool people. Unfortunately, I can't travel all year. But I also really like touring other Couchsurfers in my own country (The Netherlands, or Sweden, depending where I am).
Music, Movies, and Books
I usually get distracted before I continue reading, but the most amazing book I've ever read is "The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime", written by Mark Haddon. But I started reading again recently a few weeks, and with the right book, I enjoyed it :). I listen to all kinds of music (except for hard style or so); it just depends on my mood. I also like playing the new songs I hear on the piano. If you haven't heard of Wintergatan: one example of music I really like to play on my piano!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
There are too many things I like. I think combining solo travels with Couchsurfing has been amazing in many countries. But moving abroad twice for studies was also cool! And, besides my exchange in Germany, I met three new loads of international students in Sweden as well. Awesome to get to know SO many cultures and people!

I know how to design things, where I happily learn you things in. I'm also pretty handy with Apples (worked in an "Apple Store"), Keynote and Sketch. I love languages too, so if I can help you learning one or more languages that I speak, I’d be super happy to teach you! I really hope you can learn me some great recipes to cook (or just have an idea for a good movie to watch ;))

I can show you around in my student city (The Hague), and have great conversations about pretty much everything :)
My Interests
I like piano, tennis, photography and designing. For the latter: that's why I started my own small webdesign company. I've done cool projects for that so far! I'm also a participant in Postcrossing, what I really like. I like cooking too! I'm a vegetarian since almost five years. I'm still alive and happy!
