Hi! I'm Meche — Pura Vida! 🇨🇷 I have a deep thirst to explore the world, cultures, people, and their traditions. I'm just beginning this journey, full of excitement, and although I still have a few fears (don’t we all?), I'm determined to overcome them little by little. I consider myself calm and a bit shy at first, but if you talk to me for a while, you'll discover someone who smiles a lot, listens deeply, and finds joy in simple details. I love observing, learning, and connecting in real and meaningful ways. I'm not here to just collect passport stamps — I'm here to live real experiences and create shared memories.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Cuz I wanna to discover the real world — not just the landscapes, but the people. I want to connect with locals, learn about their culture, their hidden spots, and the things that make them smile. I dream of being surrounded by amazing hosts, and one day becoming that kind of host for other travelers. I’m not looking for luxury — just authenticity, sincere conversations, and spontaneous adventures.
Music, Movies, and Books
🎶 I listen to a bit of everything depending on the mood. I like music that makes you feel — from chill tunes on rainy days to songs that make you dance without thinking. 🎬 The best movies are the ones we live every day — in nature, in the streets, and in the markets that surround us. I don’t really watch movies… I live them, and I like to think I’m one of those starring characters in my own story. 📚 As for books, it’s the same. At the end of the day, I write my own — in a small journal where I mention the people who gifted me a smile or a life-changing experience.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I’m just beginning this journey… and honestly, taking the first step already feels pretty amazing. But I've already collected some unforgettable memories: 🌋 I hiked Volcán de Fuego in Guatemala — one of the most intense and magical experiences of my life. 🇲🇽 I fell in love with the history and ancient energy that surrounds the Cancún region in Mexico. 🇧🇿 My very first trip was to Belize — a small country in Central America where English is the main language. At the time, my English level was barely A2, but I made it through with heart and curiosity (and lots of pointing and smiling 😅). And soon, I hope this list includes wild dreams like skydiving, climbing even more mountains, getting lost on unknown paths — and finding myself through every experience. Oh, and if you ever come to Costa Rica... I could be the best host you’ll ever have 😉 From chill days with coffee and nature, to ATV rides, river adventures, or hiking up a mountain — I’ve got you covered! Just don’t ask me to go partying — that’s not really my scene. I’ll gladly recommend a few good spots, though... you’re on your own from there, haha.
Teach, Learn, Share
🧠 I want to learn: about your culture, your daily life, your way of seeing the world. I love when people share from the heart. 🗣️ I can teach you: about my country — a tiny place most people can’t find on the map! Its lifestyle, food, slang, and energy. 🫱 I love to share moments: from peaceful walks to deep talks over food, coffee, or whatever you love.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Good energy, an honest smile, and a genuine willingness to share. I’m easygoing, adaptable, and always ready to help, chat, or just be present. I can cook something from my country, help with little things, or simply be a respectful and grateful guest. If you host me, you’ll get someone truly thankful and excited to learn from you.
