Overview
About Me
I love life, and all its offerings. I grew up in the Eastern part of Kenya, about 3 hours drive from the capital city, Nairobi. I spent my first ten years working as a banker, found it too routine and boring, quit and went back to grad school. I spent a year and a half in London while studying. I loved it! even though I lived on a shoestring budget. I am yet to go back and treat myself to a musical show on West end. Between work and leisure, I have traveled to Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, South Africa, France, Switzerland and USA.
I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people, especially ones with a sense of humor so that we can talk, laugh, have fun and learn something new from each other. I enjoy travelling, reading all manner of books (but really love Malcolm Gladwell, Paulo Cuelho and currently struggling through Voyager book series), watching movies (especially sad ones that make me cry), visiting museums, theater and lazing around (especially if I am meandering around the Seine river), and of course listening / watching comedy- Kevin Hart, Trevor Noah and Stephen Colbert come to mind. I think from that, we will not miss something to connect on!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I cannot imagine a better way to get to meet people of different cultures and back grounds. I really enjoy interacting with people, and no better way than meeting them in my or their natural habitat- home.
It will also enable me visit more places on a budget, and also the places will come to me! My children will also be exposed to different people / cultures.
I am also requesting you to consider staying with me at a fee, as I have no job right now and need to pay my bills.
I have a 2 bed roomed fully furnished garden suite attached to the main house, that you can stay in at a reasonable fee, while experiencing Kenyan culture at a home setting . Talk to me... we will come to an agreement I am sure.

Music, Movies, and Books
My all time favorite movies are Thorn birds and Gone with the wind, and the books of course . I love Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers thoroughly, but also tend to drift to teenage books like the Twilight / Hunger games / Divergent and my daily sustenance, the Holy Bible. Best saddest book I read last year was JoJo Moyen's Me before you.
Music- I love Abba / Westlife / Pentatonix / Hillsong and a medley of others...oh! how can I forget Hayley-Westenra and Mozart's 41st Symphony ?
