About Me

I would describe myself as an open-minded easy going person that smiles no matter what happens in life. I try to confront everything in a calm and positive way so as to fully enjoy every experience I live.
I am also a very enthusiastic learner and I keep having a very strong faith in "the good in the world", this is a bit why I love Couchsurfing (or everything that brings people together).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I am a little bit of a nomad traveller, I have been participating while surfing and meeting travellers here and there. I am extremely busy with work-related topics and travel quite a lot (just in case there's no reply to your couch request in some days).
However, I am always up for giving some tips about Brussels and its secrets or even go making a tour together :) and eat some fries!

Interests

I am super curious about everything, love cooking (and eating it all), I really enjoy hearing other's stories and the sensation of being challenged by life. Languages are also a passion, so if you know any bad words from a remote african/indonesian /no matter what place language do not hesitate to share!

Music, Movies, and Books

Could not choose a song, but am listening to music all the time (frequent shower-singer)
For a movie, the one that marked me is Stepmom (1998) with Julia Roberts. Went to the cinema with mum to see it, will never forget such a deep moment it was.
A book: anything from Paulo Coelho is worth reading but there's a book called 'Nunca sere tu héroe' (I will never be your hero) from Maria Menendez Ponte, which is one of those books that tell you to read in high school and... am lucky i did the homework :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are quite a few incredible destinations worldwide that are worth paying a visit to, but what really framed before and after in my life was hitch-hiking from Brussels (Belgium) to Murcia (Spain) with my best friend.
The trip came up totally out of the blue and in the 5 days it took us to reach the South-east of Spain, I became a totally different person and I take life less seriously since then, because I have become aware of the little control we have over the things that happen in life.
Also we found very beautiful people along the way so... step out of your comfort zone. It may be chilly at the beginning (bring a pullover) but in the end you will be so glad you did.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to teach the following (important stuff in life):
- spanish bad words (the add-on to your basic key words: playa, cerveza and siesta)
- how to cook spanish TORTILLA! (recipe validated by grandma)
- where to buy the best chocolate in Brussels (and the cheapest beer, and the best bar for dancing...)
- anything you may want learn from me :) happy to share it all
