About Me

Travelling with my head and wondering with my feet. I am a mongrel of the world: not so much a traveller but a serial immigrant. Never having much of a coherent cultural identity to begin with, my itinerant upbringing didn't help the matter. I am pretty much a foreigner everywhere, but at home in most places.

I believe in the balance between order and chaos, I believe that discipline is the basis of freedom. I do my best to take responsibility of my life and my state of being. I live and let live, and I practice the golden rule in every aspects of my life. Beyond that, everything is in flux. Embracing changes, embracing differences, accepting life and making "Yes" the default answer to everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because of the incredible experiences and beautiful people that it brings into your life. I am always wishing I could be traveling.

Interests

I spend my time trying to experience as much as possible. I love trying new things: going to new places, meeting people, trying new food, etc.

I really enjoy photography and taking pictures. Setting up a picture and finding the right composition for a photo are really intriguing to me. Photography challenges me to look at things in a different way. It makes me take the time to try and picture things in a different light.

I also like doing yoga. Yoga for me is the one time during the week/day/(insert time period here) that I get to let it all go. It's a great exercise and it encourages mindfulness in many different senses.

I enjoy meditation as well. Meditation lets me practice my attention span muscle which currently needs some strengthening.

Music, Movies, and Books

I consider music one of the most important things in my life. I love music. There isn't a certain genre of music that I am most fond of, I respect it all. Music is a universal language and I love conversing in it. I always find myself going to concerts or festivals as often as possible. I try to go to at least 3 conerts a month just to keep myself sane. Any genre goes! Music is a very important part of my life and I love hearing about new artists. Follow me on Spotify! Let's jam out to some of your tunes.

I thoroughly enjoy books as well. I recently bought a Kindle and it is absolutely amazing. I'm not one of those paper books purists (although, I love the feeling of a real book). I

I love movies. I love the way a movie can whisk you away to another time and place. I love Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video. Documentaries, drama, and comedy are typically what you'll find me watching. I enjoy most genres except for horror. I've tried and failed many times to watch horror movies, so I have finally given up.
