About Me
Hey there!
I’m a curious soul from Bangladesh—a former journalist turned communication researcher—currently living in the U.S. By day, I explore how people interact with media and technology. By night, I turn up the volume and become a musician, jamming on my guitar, recording covers, and blending sounds that carry pieces of home and the world.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats: journalist, writer, performer, and cultural event organizer. I’ve told stories, planned events, led music nights, and met some amazing people along the way.
I’m passionate about meaningful conversations, solo adventures, and street food that tells a story. There’s something magical about traveling alone with no set plan. Whether it’s deep talks about life and tech, spontaneous jam sessions, or getting wonderfully lost in a new city, I’m all in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to connect with open-minded, kind-hearted people who love sharing culture, stories, and real-life experiences. I believe you get to know a place best when you’re welcomed into someone’s home, not just walking past it with a guidebook.
As a grad student and solo traveler, I travel on a tight budget—but that’s never stopped me from chasing meaningful experiences. Couchsurfing will help me keep things affordable while allowing me to meet locals, have deeper conversations, and share laughter, music, and meals in ways no hotel ever could.
I’m not just looking for a couch—I’m looking for connection, cultural exchange, and maybe even a spontaneous jam session or two. Let’s share stories and create moments that last far beyond the trip.

Music, Movies, and Books
As a band musician myself, I naturally gravitate toward band music but I don’t box myself into a single genre. I love exploring everything from mellow acoustic and pop to heavy metal. On one end, I vibe with the soulful storytelling of John Mayer (SLOW DANCING IN A BURNING ROOM is my all time favorite!), and on the other, I can headbang to Lamb of God. If it stirs emotion or carries energy, I’m in.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Let me tell you a recent one, I’m currently co-founding a local newspaper in Dallas dedicated to serving the Bangladeshi community here.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play a few songs on the guitar—even if you’ve never picked one up before! I also love sharing stories about music, media, and culture—especially from Bangladesh and the South Asian diaspora.
I’d love to learn about your local customs, favorite food spots, hidden gems, or how you see the world. Every person I meet has something to teach me, and I try to listen closely (I'm a very good listener)!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bring you a piece of Bangladesh through stories and music. If you have a guitar lying around, I’d love to play you a few tunes—or just sing along to your playlist.
I’m tidy, respectful, and always happy to help out around the house.
