My name is Mike. I am 32 years old and I live at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I have been doing trail maintenance and construction here at Grand Canyon National Park for about 3 years now. My place at the South Rim is quite small and would be best for only one traveler. Two people would be tight, but ok for only a night or two. I have travelled to several different countries in the past, and understand what it means to be traveling on a budget. Message me if you are visiting the Grand Canyon, and I hope that I can help by offering you a couch, a shower, and a meal for a couple of nights!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been on a the road for long stretches of time in the past and have had the luxury of staying on peoples couches along the way. Now it is my time to give back to the community.

I've been reading a book called Coming Into the Country, written by John McPhee, which is a non-fictional account of political and environmental changes in Alaska in the years following statehood.

Some timeless classics that will never get old for me are Forest Gump, Goodfellas, Half-Baked, and Stand By Me, among many others
