Hi everyone! I was born and raised in New Hampshire, USA and just recently moved out to Chalong, Thailand in early September of 2017. I did my undergraduate at the University of New Hampshire where I received my B.A in English and a double minor in History and Political Science. After graduating, like many others, I took a position that I was not fully invested in. My time in financial services, though lucrative, did not provide me with the fulfillment I desired and after 5 long years I decided to make a radical change. I obtained teaching certification and landed a job teaching here in Thailand. Thankfully, I did not make this move alone. I live in Chalong with my dog, Kobe. He is a 5kg dachshund/ chihuahua mix and an all around good guy. I look forward to meeting everyone and showing all that Chalong has to offer! I'm open to meeting new friends in this community and I'm wiling to help fellow travelers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to meet other members of this great community. I was recently referred here by a member of the CS community as a way to network with other like minded travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: everything. I like everything from Metal to classical; Slayer to Beethoven's 7th in A ( one of the top five compositions ever created by man, or any other animal). I like anything from Bon Jovi to Whitney Houston. I have an eclectic taste in music.

Movies/ TV: Similar to my taste in music, if it works it works. As long as it has interesting characters, a good plot, or is humorous I'll get into it...or give it a chance at least.

Books: Classical novels, epics, poems, LOTR and ASOIAF, Harry Potter, whatever. I like reading philosophy, fantasy, biography, science, self help, cooking, comic books ( marvel some DC), anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was driving back from camping with my two friends and the car I was driving was struck by lightning. No lie. The car was hit by a lightning bolt.
