Hey there!
My name is Michael and I am a 23-year-old lad currently living in a small town in the heart of Catalonia. I was born and lived for a few years in South Africa up until my family went of to live in Spain where my father is originally from. I have always had a passion for anything creative (from music, to actinic or painting) and decided to pursue my dream job as a professional illustrator. But right now I feel a need to travel, explore and meet amazing people!

Up until now I have travelled parts of this world in a rather standard manner, now that I’ve completed all of my studies I would love to take some time and see the world through a more personal perspective, see things in ways a usual tourist would miss, and have the chance to make friends all around the world.

Intereses

As I briefly mentioned before I am highly interested in the illustration profession. It’s a great because there are so many branches that you can specialize in. My main interest is concept work or production design. This consists of all the artistic development prior to the actual production of any movie, series, video game or theatre play. But frankly as long as I'm drawing, I'm happy.
I am also very interested in music, its history and its relevance to the shifting of history. I'm attempting to learn how to play the guitar. I’d really like to emphasise the word attempting. Haha But its all-good fun.

Música, películas y libros

I am a huge fan of music, movies and books. If ever I have free time I will dedicate it to one of these forms of art. My taste in music is very ample. I listen to so many different genres of music that I could not begin to list them but, speaking honestly, I tend to listen primarily to Rock and Heavy Metal music (from any decade).
Movies are one of the things I love most. That’s partially the reason why I want to work as a production designer. Again, as long as a movie can stand on its two feet I will watch it. I find it hard to pinpoint a favourite movie. But I have been known for being a bit of a geek in this scenario, so anything to do with SyFy (old and contemporary), Fantasy, Superheroes or Horror just tripps me out.
With books I have to say the same, although it wasn't till recently that I started reading on a more constant level. Most of my life I've read mainly comic books. Again, like when I was talking about movies, any book of those genres will make me happy. But I will distinguish that my all-time favourite book has been "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka.

I can't really think of anything right now. Not that I've never done anything amazing (dear god I really hope not) it's just that I'm sitting in front of my computer in my pyjamas while I'm filling up my newly created profile on this webpage.
I put my trousers on one leg at a time just like everybody else, unless I'm really tired (or a tad bit drunk), then I might just put both legs in one and make a big mess of things an end up face flat on the floor. I like to make people laugh and have a good time, I don't know, I'd like to think that is something rather cool.
If ever I get divine inspiration while I’m idly doing nothing in front of my computer and realise I could update this box, I might just try and do so.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Okay this seems to be stretching out allot and I'm starting to get hungry. I'm gonna go ahead and say I can teach and share whatever about drawing (by this point it sounds like that’s the only thing I can do, doesn't it? haha please don't imagine me like someone who only wants to do or talk about drawing all day), or when it comes to languages I'm happy to teach either English, Spanish or Catalan. I have an English mother, a Spanish dad and I've received all my academic education in Catalan, so I got that going which is kindda nice. I'd like to say I could teach the guitar also, but I'd be lying though my teeth, I struggle enough trying to learn how to play myself haha.
I want to learn just about anything, I really want to take in as much as possible so feel free to come up to me and show me anything, take me anywhere or do whatever with me. Honestly, I really want to and learn as much as I can so, yeah!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I'll share anything I have on me if anyone needs. And if we are talking about sharing knowledge, hell yeah! Why not?
I'd love to right about all the ways I'm into sharing and everything, but this is the last box I've had to fill in and, honestly, I'm rather tired now haha. Plus, I have a lasagne in the oven and even dough I do like it crispy on top I'm not particularly fond of my food being scorched to a crunchy black pile.
