About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring, learning. Meet interesting people. Learn stuff. See monuments to human passions and beliefs.
ABOUT ME
My name is Michael. I'm a pretty rad dude. I've had a unconventional life. I almost always think outside the box- I love 6 degrees of separation, but not Kevin Bacon. I like intellectual or inane conversations. I like to get my workout on. I enjoy anything that goes fast (preferably with some form of steering). Willing to just about anything- at least once;) Some more stuff.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is what you allow it to be. Wear rose colored glasses, and life is good- until it punches you in the face and breaks the lenses. Wear darkly tinted sunglasses and revel in your misery. Or, don't wear glasses at all, and take Life for what it is. Look for the Good, avoid/address the Bad, and Live. Oh yeah, and laugh (almost never inappropriate).
Also very much about education- formal and life. You can learn some things from a book, others you need to experience. You can't look at something from one perspective. That doesn't mean you have to regard all others as equal (perspectives), but that you have to at least recognize the existence of others, and why it is that they exist. Everything is not black and white, nor is it shades of gray. It's all the colors of the rainbow. There is passion, there is tepid, there is morose, there is anger- these are all part of life.
I'm also a Utilitarian Romantic...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to use couchsurfing when I travel, and if someone would like to stay at my place, that would be great.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been hosted a few times and enjoyed it. I met up with lots of really cool couchsurfers in South America. I normally do hostels. You definitely learn things about the culture and area couchsurfing that you wouldn't otherwise.
Interests
Drawing. Philosophy. Fast things (sportbikes in particular). History. Food (luvz it). Compelling people. Physical activities/sports. Tattoos. Art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode 3,000 miles in the dead of the winter through Colorado, Utah, Missouri, Kentucky on my motorcycle. Almost drove off a cliff once. Fell down a hill the entire way, somehow got off with only a few scratches and bruises. Survived 4 nights of pub crawls in Prague- that was pretty motivating, though people in Puerto Rico party like that all the time... Flyboarding.
Teach, Learn, Share
Am fairly handy- no engineer student, but can fix cars, motorcycles, simple stuff. Hmmm.... I was a personal trainer, so can teach workouts and nutrition stuff, if that is your interest. I am pretty good at drawing, though teaching it is another matter... I'm pretty good at pretending to be a ninja...;)
Am a professional massage therapist, so can teach some body-working techniques and some holistic healing stuff.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Massages and great conversation :) Also a certified personal trainer, so if you have questions about nutrition or exercise, I would be happy to help with that :)
