ABOUT ME

I'm newly divorced! Love people of the world and traveling, but have not done enough of the latter yet! I am at piece with nature and my home. I enjoy photography and sell my images in various formats. I play sing song guitar which I call live karaoke getting the kitchen party full of other musicians and friends singing there hearts out. I love playing sports. I play badminton 3 nights a week, not to win but give my opponent and partner the most fun they've ever had playing that game at that moment. I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking or just plain walking. I am spiritual rather than religious as a lot of the problems in the world are caused by religion. God and Love are in all of us. Our individual opportunity to exist at this time should be enjoyed by all, not just a few.

PHILOSOPHY

I expressed it earlier. People are the world and these governments that put business and greed ahead of people makes me sad. The bought off politicians that allow business to pollute the environment, poison our food with pesticides, additives and preservatives, knowingly putting the health of individuals second to profit makes me ill. The wealthy aren't feeling one bit of this world crises, but getting richer as a result of it. The greed of a few for the stress of the many.

I search for God in me, around me and in the people I meet. He is there experiencing my moment and I'm thankfully aware of how fortunate we all are to be. Let's enjoy it! I'm ready!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined a few years ago, but just retired and am ready to start traveling. I was ready to go to Rome when I first joined, but had not been verified by mail yet. I worked for Air Canada and had the days picked with lots of empty seats, but was unaware of the time it takes for things to get processed. Oh well here I am again and ready now.

Interests

Seeing art galleries, museums, cities of the world and the architecture, watch people go about daily life in new countries, listening to music and musicians of different places, enjoy the night life and feelings of these places as well. Trying different experiences that are not too dangerous of course. Just walking through Rome for instance to get it's feeling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My daughter was born in 1980 and three months later my brother died. He'd fallen cracking his skull. I the youngest of 10 and him next. He was handicapped and my family left me alone, so I sat on the bed saying this will be the last time I see you in the physical. I laid across his chest, prayed, meditated, talked of how he had a raw deal and if all this church stuff is real then Dad is waiting for you. I was silent finally and his spirit the shape of his body went through me as the monitor went flat line. That's some kind of timing for someones death to actually happen? I looked up not seeing him, but gave him permission to hang around me and I'm sure it's his arm sometimes when I look down. This spirit we are is infinite!

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach drawing classes by observing my student as they draw. I'll be positive and show them with a demo beside them exactly what they are not seeing in the object they are coping. They look at the object, there drawing, than mine and go "OH yah!" . I open there eyes to being more observant and it works.

They say "aren't you bored watching me paint". I say "Watching you is my lesson because you'll do something I like that's so unique and I'll remember that when I'm painting".
