CURRENT MISSION My mission is to complete my education, meet interesting people and enjoy life. I'm an academic by nature so I like learning new things and as a social scientist I like seeing new places and experiencing different environments. ABOUT ME Currently I'm a full-time instructor at the University of South Alabama in criminal justice. I'm also a PhD Candidate at Old Dominion University. Right now I'm just finishing up my dissertation.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
It seems like an interesting way to meet people in some of the areas I travel to, and to also meet people who might come to Alabama.
Music, Movies, and Books
Avenged Sevenfold, Guns and Roses, Megadeth, Metallica, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper I like Sci-Fi movies or action movies. I especially like the violent ones. Books: I haven't read a fiction book in over a decade. I like my criminological books though. The last books I read other than the statistical books were "The Social Construction of What?" by Hacking and War an Age of Risk by Coker.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about criminology and sociology. I was originally trained in social work. I doubt anyone wants to hear my teach about that though. I'm familiar with the area I live in and can usually find interesting things to do in Mobile, Alabama.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I have a house that will accommodate several people, and am familiar with things to do in the local area
My Interests
I study armed conflict, low-intensity conflict, and terrorism. My dissertation is on juvenile delinquency though. I enjoy concerts, orchestral and symphonic performances, and try to stay somewhat in shape. Other than than I enjoy museums and other activities particular to a given city or location.
