About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I work from home and since August/2022 I decided to live on the road for a while. I will be in Argentina until the end of the semester and after I'll be spending some months traveling around Brazil. I have two cats over there who I love and miss terribly. I like to call myself a slow traveler, I'm obviously eager to get to know the most I can, but I like to give myself time to appreciate the people, places and things I luckily cross roads with. I like to allow myself time to rest whenever my body and mind ask. If I have to choose between an afternoon talking to an interesting person over coffee or sightseeing from place to place only to take photos and post them online I'll probably choose the first option. Don't get me wrong, I like sightseeing, photos and even posting online, but I think you get my point.

ABOUT ME

What pleases me the most is to get in contact with everything I previously knew nothing about. I love to meet new people, hear their stories, and learn about the music they listen to, the food they eat, etc. I love to walk around the cities I visit as much as I can with respect to my time and the time of others. I like traveling and walking alone, but I also appreciate good company and couchsurfing has been a great community to get in touch with nice people ever since I started receiving people from all over the world in the small town I was raised in Brazil.

I like to share about music, food, movies, trips, politics and so forth. To organize my thoughts and I usually write, if you speak portuguese (I write mostly in Portuguese) and are interested, you can read this text where I talk about the beginning of my "slow traveling" project: https://encaracolandose.blogspot.com/2021/07/encaracolando-me.html

PHILOSOPHY

Be opened to learn with respect by myself and others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ever since I started using couchsurfing back in 2011 I have met such amazing people and heard so many nice stories! Besides meeting incredible people, Couchsurfing helped me to improve my English at a moment in my life when I couldn't travel abroad, now I work with English and Couchsurfing had an important role in that process that brought me where I am now: being able to work and travel. At a moment I couldn't go explore the world, Couchsurfing brought the world to my house and I'll always cherish this community very much!
