About Me
***traveling in MA and France until August, so I can't host then***
Currently an MFA student at the Univ. of Arkansas, studying poetry. Originally from Oregon, then Florida. I run a poetry reading series, Open Mouth Reading Series--please check us out on FB!
"oh god it’s wonderful/ to get out of bed/ and drink too much coffee/ and smoke too many cigarettes/ and love you so much" -(from "Steps"), Frank O'Hara
[I love Frank O'Hara, but I don't smoke cigarettes.]

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's wonderful to meet new people and see what they love about the place they live. I love how we can use technology to connect with people we might not otherwise have met at all--there's something really incredible about that.
I have had really incredible experiences couchsurfing, and I hope to meet more exciting friends in the future.
Interests
Dogs. Live music. Dead music too, actually. Trying to get into container gardening, but it's a slow process. Craft beer. Leisurely bike rides.
Recently been getting into national parks and hiking, so if you have tips, send them my way :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Maybe not amazing, but over the years I've saved several turtles from getting squashed on the road.
I've seen the redwoods, the Everglades, the Ozarks, the Petrified Forest National Park (so beautiful it made me cry) and the NYC subways--all are equally wonderful to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to bake--always use real butter and extra vanilla extract! Would love to make my avocado pesto for you also.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Would love to chill out and listen to records, make a meal together, go see some music, or whatever you're into.
I feel like I have a wide range of interests, and chances are there's something we can find to geek out about.
I have a real thirst for travel, and unfortunately have not been able to do much of it. I'm hoping to change that, and look forward to meeting people who want to share that experience.
