Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Northern Virginia in the suburbs of Washington, DC. My mom was born in Panama and my dad was born in Cuba. They got me my first passport at 4 months old and instilled the love of traveling at a very young age.
I don't drink or do drugs or smoke so I find other ways to enjoy myself. I love talking to people and learning/trying new things. People say I'm healthy for not drinking alcohol/caffeine, but I have a sweet tooth so that's not really the case. However, I'm always down for dessert, especially when traveling so let's go try something delicious. :)
PHILOSOPHY
"There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven't yet met." -William Butler Yeats
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Going to events and surfing/hosting when I can!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've used it for events and surfed quite a few times. Hoping to host if I choose to settle down again someday. I honestly love the travel-minded community it has created and the opportunity to meet people from all over the world.
Interests
I like a lot of things, so it's hard to pinpoint a few interests for this little box.
If I had to choose, I would probably say dancing (not very well, but I like to have fun while I attempt it), motorcycles, boats, sightseeing, and learning.
- dancing
- desserts
- motorcycles
- traveling
- karaoke
- scuba diving
- skiing

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Anything that isn't scary. Preferably something that makes me laugh, cry, or learn something.
Music: Anything I can sing and dance along to. Not a fan of country, rap, screamo, ska, or heavy metal. Usually pop, rock, pop rock, or songs from soundtracks or the radio.
Books: I like a little bit of everything. Non-fiction, fiction, or something someone recommends. I'm more likely to finish it if I know someone enjoyed the book so let me know if there's something you think I should read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've survived 2 magnitude-5.8 earthquakes.
One in 2011 in Washington, DC and the other in 2018 in Bucharest, Romania.
I felt neither, but I'm here to tell the tales if you'd like to know more.
Teach, Learn, Share
I usually learn a lot more than I can teach, but I'm bound to know something that someone wants to know. If not, we could always research it together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll gladly help clean up (doing the dishes is one of my favorite chores around the house) and I can tell a story about pretty much any topic.
I'm also pretty tech-savvy and patient so I can help set up a printer, program a universal remote, or another project where you may be needing help. A former boss of mine loved having me stay with her because she could have me set up her digital picture frame, program her Nest thermostat, and set up her printer. Definitely not as technical as my brother, but I might be able to help you out.
