About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being a vehicle of change. A clean, green, vehicle of change.

ABOUT ME

They would say I'm very comitted to what I do for living as I do for fun. I tell stories. The most recent ones have been featured in NPR's Latino USA and KCRW's unfictional.

What I do for fun is my volunteering at a local NGO called Ciudad Para Todos where we try to turn highly motorized cities like Guadalajara into ones more sustainable. Ones where you can pedal the roads, share the public spaces and breathe clean air.

Did you mean the conventional fun? (see my interests below)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate on the Guadalajara Group offering my couch or some time to share with foreigners.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am totally new to this experience, but looking forward to make it a lifestyle.

Interests

Yes, I love going to the movies. I dig Kubrick's, Scorsese's and Guillermo Arriaga's work, but i'm open to more stuff: just recently i started to watch much of the documentary genre.

I love to dance and/or headbang mostly to any genre -. I love Muse, The Beatles, Tame Impala, Arcade Fire, Zurdok, Arctic Monkeys, The Roots, Soda Stereo, Gustavo Cerati...

I read a lot (and try to write the same amount), I love to taste new food when the opportunity is given, I like to surf the web and eventually I'd love to become surf the ocean.

Yes, that's part of what I am. By the way. They call me "Micro", because my hair is like that of a microphone head.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The trip i made with my older brother, Tom, to Yosemite National Park, is the most jaw-dropping experience i've had with nature. If you speak spanish, you could listen to the whole experience in the following link: http://microgdl.com/audio/ocio-en-linea/OCIOPodcast-2010-11-07-SanFranciscast3.mp3

The other one is the first time I joined in a Critical Mass in San Francisco. I had never had a bicycle experience like that in my whole life. (Or you can just check it out here. http://microgdl.com/california-dreaming-san-francisco-en-bici/)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to speak/write english and spanish. We can also have creative radio workshops. :)
