ABOUT ME

Well, seeing we will travel together most of the time I suppose it's best to describe us as a couple. We've been married since 1977. My husband, David comes from England, I am Swedish. We have two grown up daughters and four grandchildren. We love travelling, meeting new people, learning and sharing. SC seems to be a perfect way to do all that. We live in a newly built eco-friendly, energy-efficient house situated between two lakes. As part of our life's philosophy, we try to be so independent of the pressures of the 'rat race' as possible, this we partly achieve by keeping our living costs down i.e. by the new house and partly by running my own business, that just about gives us enough income to survive. The shop's theme also supports the modern ideas of environmental awareness and holistic self-awareness etc. I have worked as a teacher, my husband as a computer engineer. We are non-smokers.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have couch surfed ourselves and had surfers staying with us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in England and Scotland. Really enjoyed meeting new and interesting people. Everywhere and everybody was different!!
Have also hosted a few times, so far. A nice experience too!

兴趣

Reading, spending time with friends and family, dancing (Carina), cricket and beer brewing (David) travelling, cooking, eating and drinking. Spirituality (mainly Paganism) is a big part of our lives. (of course we respect people that are not interested in that sort of thing too).

Science Fiction, Romantic comedies, Fantasy, Mystical films and books. We like different types of music: disco, pop, pagan, new age, folk Celtic etc.

We were present when our first grandchild was born. Helping your own child when she gave birth to a baby was a fantastic experience!

I teach Swedish and English but also Line-Dancing. We love to philosophy about life's muses even the different aspects/paths of Paganism/Shamanism, especially Druidy, that we are both interested in. David is good at Geomancy and computers.
