Overview
About Me
I'm an easygoing, friendly guy. A lone and independent traveller who likes to get lost :)
Interested in learning about different cultures and hearing stories wherever I go, and I believe couchsurfing is a fantastic way to achieve this.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's essential to always learn new things, try new things, question things, not to just assume or make assumptions about the world. Instead go and have my own experiences and draw my own conclusions.
I'm not in this as much for saving costs but to find that thrilling and rewarding connection with another person.
I travel on my own 70% of the time, so I fall back to this lovely community for hanging out with other travelers and find the closure of other people.
Interests
Travelling in general, hiking/hill-walking, scrambling, rock climbing.
A good beer in good company is ever hardly beaten.
When I visit a new city I like to walk around it for hours and hours, finding its hidden corners. Quite fond of the freedom of hostels and meeting people there, but also thrilled by the adventures that develope from couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently doscovered I quite enjoy long strenuous hikes. In summer 2015 I did the steepest climb in Europe. From sea level to the top of mount Teide (3718m) in Tenerife, in a total of 8.5h when the average time is 12!. Tried again in 2016 and brought the time down to 6h :)
Early 2017 went to Torres del Paine in Chile for a first time long trekking adventure and squeezed the full 10 day 'O' trek in only 7. Loved every second of it, except the sore shoulders afterwards :P
