ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people from all over + seeing how unique every diff. place is..living in different cities for a while + really making friends + being a part of their different cultures. I'm American + I know a lot of people outside of America have very mixed opinions about America + Americans + after being away for so long I can def. understand + agree with a lot of those opinions, but I think traveling is SO much more important than the huge majority of my country sadly seems to think + my eyes have been opened after being away for a few years..I graduated from Michigan State, did commercial real estate for 3 years, decided I needed a break + moved to Breckenridge, Colorado for a ski season, fell in love with the town, mountain, + people + ended up stayin for 3 years. I was ready for another change + had made some friends there that convinced me to move to New Zealand for a ski season. I instantly fell in love with the country + was meetin new people from all over all the time. Made some more friends there + we moved to Melbourne, Australia together then India, Nepal, Morocco, + 13 months all over Europe. I had been working in random places along the way + been gone from the states for 2 1/2 years + my sister had a baby so I came home for a big visit + worked in Washington, DC for 3 months to save up some money to hit the road again. I met some friends in Peru almost 2 months ago and traveled through Ecuador to Colombia where we're at now...I'm hopin to travel South America for at least another 4 months, plannin to do some woofing + other bar or hostel work for food/accomodation along the way..then meetin up w/ friends to work in either portugal or bristol for the summer..still figurin it out..

I love traveling + keeping my mind as open as possible to any new experiences..I love how after a few years of traveling it hasn't gotten old at all + still every few weeks i continue to be blown away by how much this giant planet has to offer..I really enjoy getting to know people + am determined to learn spanish before leaving south america but still have a long ways to go...i love goin to festivals + shows..camping, wandering around new cities, hiking/trekking, beaches, jungle, skiing, surfing, hammocks, pretty much anything outdoors but loungin around is always nice too..
