About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just enjoy life, what else is there?

ABOUT ME

I live in NEW HAVEN, INDIANA. I'm not sure why this site has me listed as Dover, Ohio and won't let me change it. 50+ year old ex-hippie rock and roller. Not too serious. Critter lover. I've traveled pretty much everywhere in the USA. I love seeing other folks succeed in their dreams and endeavors. I don't take life or myself too seriously. I love seeing and learning about other people's religions, traditions, quirks, beliefs, etc. I like to cook.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy when you can, endure when you must ~ The more you know the less you need ~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to offering my couch. I'm familiar with the program from a friend and from what I've read in these profiles/forums.

Interests

I camp and kayak in the summer. I like sitting on my back deck and drinking a few brews too! I do flea markets and estate auctions looking for old junk that interests me. I'm a pretty good cook too. Non-fiction book reader. I attend a Unitarian church on Sunday mornings and like the types of people there. Most bible thumping Christians bother me. I get Netflix and love a good movie.

Music, Movies, and Books

My reading leans towards non-fiction adventure type books. Biography, travel, Buddhism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ONE?! Sorry, I can't do just one. On a whim lat year, I threw my gear and kayak in the back of my pick-up truck and headed south for three weeks. I ended up in South Florida to camp in the Florida Everglades (roughed it) and two days at the Dry Tortugas. That's the last cool thing I've done. Portland, OR is coming up this summer. Amazing? I've hiked the Grand Canyon, almost drowned in two oceans, rolled an 18-wheeler.
