CURRENT MISSION I'm cycling through the Pyrenees and stopping to do some of the famous climbs. Would be super to meet some locals!. ABOUT ME I did my MA in geography at UBC in Vancouver and I'm now doing another MA in documentary photography in London, UK. I grew up in the North of England, have worked as a chef and bartender, and I've travelled in Europe and South America quite a bit.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I only had one experience when a couchsurfer in DC introduced me to the experience by helping me out after I got stuck with nowhere to stay while participating in a geography conference. Every hostel in town was booked and he hosted me at his place. There I slept on the biggest beanbag in the world. We hosted a few folks in Vancouver which was really nice.
Music, Movies, and Books
Well my favorite books are Catch-22 and two of Steinbeck's: East of Eden and The Grapes of Wrath. I read a lot and dig book-worms.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I recently kite-surfed in Costa Rica with my sister which was lovely. One of my favourite moments was spent in El Parque Nacional Leoncito near Bareal, NW Argentina in a campsite looking over some salt flats at sunset, listening to Bloc Party's 'Compliments.'
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to be a chef in a Michelin starred kitchen so I can certainly cook a nice supper. I can also give you tips on photography and I always travel with my bicycle so we could go for a ride!
