I'm a native Marylander so I know the area pretty well. I love hosting and cooking for people and showing them around. During the day I work as a software tester. in the evenings, I normally just chill at home, make dinner, play some games, work on a project or two. On the weekends I like to go out for camping, hikes, trail rides, or out with friends.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I live alone and sometimes get real lonely. I welcome company in my house and I love cooking for people. I had people host and feed me for free during my trip to Belgium in 2014 so I want to pay it forward. I love chitchatting and culture exchange. Maryland and DC are pretty awesome places. Having grown up here, I know of all sorts of places and things to do that aren't always on TripAdvisor.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Rock and soundtracks. Also have a soft spot for swing and disco. Movies: Sci-fi, military drama, action/adventure, comedy (Hot Fuzz is probably my favorite movie of all time) Books: Fiction - Sci-fi, historical, fantasy, action/adventure. Non-fiction - Civil War, Crusades, Napoleonic, and Roman history
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I'm a historical reenactor so I've had a bunch of awesome experiences. I once spent a week on a 17th century tallship as a deckhand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got a piano and am happy to help people learn. I'll gladly take any help I can get in learning French.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Mostly anything. I'll even cook for you (Mediterranean, American, and Mexican cuisines are my staples - If you have dietary restrictions, I'll try to accommodate but no guarantees). Only my own bedroom, home office, and the deck is off-limits. My back deck is not safe at the moment.
