About Me

Adventurer, artist, teacher, like sports and reading, enjoy good music, nice talks and open-minded people. I have nerves of steel cause I work with children and I enjoy both quiet evenings of long talks with a glass of vine and crazy amazing outings, bars and night city walks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This my second account already, I'm here sinсe 2011. I've traveled a lot with CS in the past. This great community helped me to discover the world and meet a lot of new people. With CS I feel home anywhere I go and now when I finally have a place of my own, I'd like to share it with as many wonderful people as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I actually like different music . Here are some of my favourites: The Doors, Pink Floyd, Sigur Ros, Florence, MGMT, Rammstein, Metallica, Apocalyptica, Alt-J, CocoRosie, Dexter Gordon, Jack White, Brian Eno.

The books I prefer are mostly Russian. My best writers are Chekhov, Bulgakov, Pelevin (I'm not sure if anyone knows this one). Also like Thomas Mann, Hermann Hesse, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I read professional books on Linguistics, Pedagogy and sometimes Biology.

My favourite movies are those filmed by Jim Jarmusch, Wong Kar-wai , Roman Polanski, Emir Kusturica and others. I like old Russian cinema as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I've traveled a lot, I've studied for many years, I've changed many jobs, I've had an exhibition of my drawings, been to many places and seen many interesting things. But the most amazing of all are my students whom I see every day at work. The keep me going, they find the way to surprise me and make me smile. So far, my current job is the most amazing thing in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can provide you an insight to Russian culture and mentality, I can teach you some basic Russian or help you to improve your speaking if you've learnt some already. I'd like to learn about your country and traditions, listen to your music and watch your films. If you could send me a post card from your homeland, I'll be very glad.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got many breathtaking crazy stories of my traveling life, also I play one strange musical instrument which is called jew's-harp. I can teach you some cooking or drawing. I'm ok with helping you about the house or participating in some project if you need me there.
