About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make the world a more open place.
ABOUT ME
I have a sense of humour; I am easy-going and I love to have funny and clever people around. I have travelled a lot, so I know how important it is to share.
Parlo italiano abbastanza bene anche se raramente adesso.
One last important thing: no sport, sorry about that.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Open my house to travellers who want to visit the Southern Alps, take them places when I have time, share meals.
When hosted by people, I like cooking for them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I mainly hosted people into sport, cycling through the Alps, and it was fun because very new to me... All experiences so far were positive.
I spent 6 weeks in the US in the summer of 2012 and met great people; I always felt at ease and very welcome.
Interests
Foreign languages and linguistics, travelling (visiting places and meeting people), rock'n'roll music (love live music), cinema, reading good novels, and as far as moving a little for health sake, I'd say hiking (well, walking...). I am particularly fond of Italy where I lived for 8 years back in the 80's and where I try to go back as often as I can.
I love the Mediterranean sea.

Music, Movies, and Books
Rock'n'roll lover (mythic 70's rock bands). My husband was a sensitive guitarist and played in a band.
Independent cinema lover (not exactly action or fantastic films). One of my favourite films is 'C'eravamo tanto amati' by Ettore Scola. I love Tarantino's 'Django Unchained' and 'Fargo' by the Coen brothers.
Monty Python's wit and nonsense admirer.
I love novels. I read a lot of British books, I'm a great fan of David Lodge and Jonathan Coe. Lately, I read a few J. Tropper's novels and enjoyed them.
One of the most important book to me remains 'Belle du Seigneur' by Albert Cohen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My life with my husband, gone too early on a stairway to heaven.
Playing poker on a Chinese night train with 3 Italian men and actually winning all night...
The birth of my son when I was forty, great!
Teach, Learn, Share
My job is teaching so I probably tend to teach too often and I need breaks!
Meeting interesting people is learning and sharing.
Share! That's the whole point in couchsurfing. I can share room and food and fun and whatever people are willing to share.
