About Me

Hiya!
My name is Minna, with two n's that is, and I'm an adventurer and a full-on life lover.

Besides that I'm a photographer, hippie at heart, an artist soul and a philanthropist. I love people, the nature and the world itself, art, spicy food, the smell of rain and chocolate cake and oh so many things waiting to be listed.

I pay attention to details and things in life that not everyone sees - it's the smallest things that make the world so mesmerizing. The first rays of sun in spring, the sounds of summer nights, the pure joy of people reuniting after a long time, the smiles, the snow that falls down in spirals, the feeling you get after making someone smile...

I'm outgoing, loving, sympathetic, laid-back and I try my best to make people laugh. I'm always interested in people and the stories behind them and I want to understand people in the most deepest levels. There is never too much love in this world - naive, but in my opinion, true.

I also do have a very bad sense of humor. Sarcastic, ironic, dark, awkward and witty humor is the way I roll. Fortunately or unfortunately - it's up to you.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to nearly anything that has a nice flow. Ambient, chill out, electronica, indie dance, soul, indie pop & rock, electro swing, downtempo... you name it. Some of my favorite artists include Bonobo, Emancipator, Trentemoller, Pariisin Kevät, Death Cab For Cutie, Above & Beyond, Parov Stelar, Boards of Canada and Kiasmos, but nowadays I usually listen to single songs rather than artists.

I love well made drama movies as well as witty, clever comedies, movies with a fantasy twist and thrillers. Sometimes I feel like watching a horror flick but I regret it the night after. To name a few my faves; Boyhood, Boys don't cry, Catch me if you can, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Shutter Island, Amelie, Midnight in Paris, Lost in Translation, Dead Poets Society, Donnie Darko...

I also binge on tv shows such as Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Orange is the new Black, Orphan Black, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Modern Family, Sherlock - and the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer my friend hosted a party and we wanted to go swimming after hitting a sauna. My friend lives in the city centre so there was no beach nearby. We had this crazy idea to go and swim at this dock. So we went.

We were fully naked in the city centre on a beautiful summer night. In the dock there is a huge, semi-new bridge, rather high too. I decided to climb on this bridge and jump into the water from there. It was crazy. It was awesome. We jumped so many times from there holding hands with our friends and I was alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

The meaning of life must be reducing agony.

Why to worry bout the little things? Life is way too short to waste it on crying over things you can't change. Embrace life and try to make the best of it.

Take other people into account: listen, understand, care. Care also for yourself - don't be too strict on yourself. Accept your flaws and understand that you - as we all - are humane. And that is what makes us all unique.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My smile! I can make people smile or that's what I attempt to do. I can also share my cooking skills and make a pretty decent meal and also have some awesome photos taken of my hosts if they desire. Hooray!
