About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am currently living in Montreal, QC. I work days as a nanny and spend my evenings practicing yoga and playing with my band Ghostly Hounds. I'm putting a lot of time and energy into my band right now, playing shows weekly and gearing up for tours.

ABOUT ME

I'm a dancer, dreamer, musician. I love to ride my bike, explore, practice yoga, connect with other humans, read, write, reflect, love, learn, sing!.. I've been living in Montreal for a year and a half, before that I was in Victoria BC living communally with 16 wonderful folks in a big house by the sea, I'm originally from Ottawa.
I sing and play banjo in a Montreal witch-folk quartet, it is where most of my love, time and energy is focused these days.

PHILOSOPHY

I, like my environment, am constantly changing, learning and adapting and therefore I try to practice contemplative non-attachment. I live my life to explore, experience, learn about the earth and those who inhabit it, and my relation to it all. I believe that we are here to help each other heal. I believe in healing through nature, love and through the arts..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've used this site a few times when I have been in a bind during travels when plans unexpectedly change. Hosted many people when I lived in Victoria and had the space, I love meeting new people and connecting communities. I plan on using it over the next few months to find folks to host me and my bandmates while we're on tour!

I've had only positive experiences with this website!

Music, Movies, and Books

The thought of listing my favourites of these categories is overwhelming! That's something we can talk about in person some time :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I cycled through a good chunk of the rockies.. it felt pretty amazing!
the most recent thing I've done which I feel amazing about:

Teach, Learn, Share

Skill-sharing/ knowledge I have to offer: some basic hula hoop and poi, tribal belly-dance, pole dancing, pasties/ tassle making and twirling, banjo playing, knowledge of herbal therapies and nutrition, women's health and alternative medicines.
I am beginning to study my tarot deck more in-depth and always love to hear people's understanding and opinions of the cards. I like to learn pretty much any skill, especially circus arts, dance forms and anything music-related. I would like to learn more self-defense techniques. I have really been wanting to learn for awhile now how to stretch leather, safely, from roadkill.
