Im Maya. I am 27 years old.
I Went to meet up with a friend in Thailand and I fell in love with this world of traveling and stayed 4 and a half years on the road
This life is thrilling and adictive and I ddnt think i could ever stop (until covid showed up) so I tried to travel as basic as possible so I could keep doing the life I love. I mostly hitchhiked and camped and cooked my own food.
I beleive the world is a wonderful place with mostly kind people you just have to go out there with an open heart and a positive mind!
Someone in australia introduced me to couchsurfing three years ago and ive met so many wonderful people and had great experiances
It helped me meet locals i wouldn't have been able to find on my own and see the country from their perspective. Its saved me on many a rainy night, or from a big city where camping wasnt an option.
Couchsurfing has become a worldwide family to me and I'm so greatful to each and every one of you.

Ive solo traveled hitchiking through 33 countries so far and many more to come. I taught english in a school in a small village in cambodia. I hiked up mount doom and it was hell but so worth it!
I supported myself for 6 months solely on busking...basically just learned to live without money.
