Thoughts on Gucha Festival :

I dont like it, most of my friends dont like it. Its like any other small music festival but its made for drunk hillbillies, so if you think you'll get to enjoy music you wont, yes there is music but not that much. Its focus is on drunken rampage, its being presented by state as a sweet traditional village festival and with balkan beats being so popular i understand people have interest in it, but in my opinion it sucks. I had 3 foreigners visit for the festival so far and none of them liked it, although i met some travelers who enjoyed it so its not all that bad. As for staying there yes i guess there is a camping site, not sure about it since i never had any interest in camping there. I'm pretty sure you'll find a place to camp there, although im not sure of the site itself, water, toalets etc etc. Prices arent that high but i guess that depends on where you come from. As for other things to do while you are here, theres Ovchar Banja relatively near it, its nice with river lake and 2 mountains, 2-3 hiking tracks and loads of old monasteries. Few more spots around Chachak are really nice during summer but town itself has little to offer, almost no cultural life at all with very few relatively interesting things to see.
