About Me
I spent the last couple of decades of my life splitting time between travelling and schooling to become a physical therapist. I found both avenues great ways to meet amazing people as well as do and learn super cool things, respectively.
I first caught the travel bug while on a student exchange in St. Andrews, Scotland in 2002; after high school I worked so I could afford 3 months backpacking Central America, solo and with amigos for parts of it; and after finishing my diploma in the Kootenays, I embarked on another latin America backpack trip with my best friend in South America for nearly 9 months. Finally, I pushed on to finish my two degrees with the odd road trip in the pacific northwest, either camping or sleeping in a makeshift camper.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been in the workforce as a physiotherapist for the past two years, and I've been able to save enough money to quench my thirst for some more worldly travelling, this time with a female companion. The plan is to pack up, and bring some backpacks to Australia before pushing on to Southeast Asia and hitting some hot spots in Europe. I want couch surf to meet people and get a better glimpse into the hidden gems around the world, as well as pay it back to fellow couch surfers I may host one day (when I have a more suitable house).
