About Me

ABOUT ME

Creative person. More out there than most. Loyal friend, someone who thinks outside the box. Level headed for the most part. Self-depreciating humor. I'm definitely a man of my word. Very visual person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I graduated from Ohio University in 2012 and pretty much explored around for 2 years. I met countless people along the way and I'm convinced I learned more in those 2 years than I did in all of college. Since returning home to Ohio last fall, I have went back to school to study Graphic Design. For the first time in my life I feel like I'm on the right path and I'm ecstatic about it (it took long enough)! That being said, this past school year has really suppressed the adventurer in me, and I need to exercise that part. For that reason, I'm going on a cross country road trip. Last time I did this I learned things that I will carry with me forever, so it feels right to do it again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I watched a water spout tornado develop over the ocean and carry its way onto land. Blue skies above my head, and a tornado a few miles down the beach with black clouds surrounding it. It was amazing.

Being from Ohio, I don't have the privilege of the mountains around me at all times. I was left in awe the first time I traveled up a mountain side. The view, the weird silence, the whole environment left an impact on me.

I was in the Outer Banks, North Carolina and I was walking down the beach. I saw a storm cloud approaching and knew I was going to get rained on. The cloud pasted into the ocean, but the rain was still coming down. So the sky above me was blue, yet it was raining. Not that uncommon right? Well as the rain trickled down, the most vibrant and distinct rainbow took shape over the ocean. The colors were solid and the edges were prominent. To top this off, the ocean was particularly still that day and had a mint green color to it. The rain hitting the ocean made it looks like a giant plush/velvet blanket. The combo of the blue skies, incredible rainbow, and the velvet looking green ocean made me feel like I was in a video game. Amazing experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make a mean guacamole. Aside from that, I'd love to share who I am with you. And in turn, I want to learn twice as much about you. Unless you don't feel like talking, that's totally cool too...But if you do want to chat, I'm down. And if you happen to enjoy a good IPA, then we'll be best friends probably.
