About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be at ease in being active. Grace in living. Preparing to further travel the world. Adjusting ideas of reality to be open for possibility. Get my learn on. Explore.
ABOUT ME
I'm a country girl. Can't keep my shoes clean or my wool without moth holes. But I like to storm around a big city once in a while - eat the best food, find my way around public transportation, walk fast down the sidewalk, etc.
Adventurous and spontaneous by nature. (And in nature).
I love to learn, explore, travel.
Foodie. Food Snob, actually. All about quality.
I love to make food, eat food, smell food, look at food, read about food, harvest food, grow food, preserve food (especially fermentation).
Big family: 6 brothers, 1 sister.
Been traveling off and on since I graduated High School.
Passionate thinker.
Love to be involved in finding creative solutions.
Dancing. Singing. Hiking. Swimming. Cooking. Eating. Storytelling. Foraging. Community involvement.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted some folks and surfed some couches in Mexico.
I am a new member, have been more active for longer in Hospitality Club (similar organization).
I have recently moved into a new house and made a new home on the outskirts of the Point Reyes National Seashore. I live with my boyfriend and 3 groovy housemates. We have yet to host people through Couch Surfing at our new spot, but we've had plenty of traveling guests stop through by way of more serendipitous events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had great success and experiences surfing couches all over Mexico last year. I met incredible people brimming with generosity and hospitality. Many of those experiences have fostered lasting friendships and spurred subsequent trips and visits. In Oaxaca, Mexico my two traveling companions and I stayed with a fabulous family on the outskirts of the city for upward of 3 weeks! At one point in our stay there were 7 travelers from different countries staying in the house! It was better than a free hostal. We made big family meals together, each of us preparing specialties from our own traditions to share. Many of us still comunicate and visit one another. My buddies and I were able to leave our vehicle at this house for 4 months before coming back from the States to retrieve it and continue our journey. These are the kinds of connections that make traveling worth while!
