Overview
About Me
I am a multipotentialite who studies the universe and loves art. My dream is to travel all around the world to learn, grow and eventually get in peace with myself. It's a bit difficult to express myself by writing a few paragraphs. However, I can share a little of my journey up to now.
So far, I have had the chance to live in Italy and study astrophysics at the University of Padua, one of the oldest universities in the world, where Galileo used to teach for a while. I studied as an Erasmus exchange student in Stockholm for 6 months and now I will be in Italy for the summer break. Two years ago, I had no idea that one day I would already live in two countries, let alone one of which would be Sweden.
I am so passionate about learning. That's why I chose astronomy cause it's never-ending. But my learning process is not only about science. I love meeting people from different cultures, nationalities, and backgrounds to learn more about life and myself.
Right now, my life is full of uncertainties. I don't know where I will be next year or what I will do. But it's also beautiful to experience too.
From late July 2022, I will be in Italy for at least two months. I will be staying in at University dorm, so I cannot host you. But feel free to contact me if you want to meet up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What's more important than growing my mindset and widening my perspective by seeing people from all over the world?!
I can't travel much right now. But meeting new people is still a good chance that makes me feel that I'm traveling.
Interests
Having a lifelong passion for astronomy coinciding with the spectacular meteor shower that occurs every year on my birthday (August 12th) is indeed super exciting. I love to go somewhere in nature where I can see the night sky and feel drawn and lost.
I also draw and paint from time to time. Photography is immense enthusiasm for me as well. I can never imagine my life without art. Maybe one day, I will study art academically. It would be a dream for sure. But till then, I will keep making my little weird art.
I'm positive that I won't give up on my dreams. It's just now that I have to dedicate myself more to science, but I'm sure I will return to art at some point too.

Music, Movies, and Books
There is a book that kind of changed my life. When I started my bachelor's in physics, I began questioning myself and my beliefs. Even the basic concepts that I used to seem non-problematic before, such as the meaning of life.
It was such a challenging period of my life. I was hopeless cause I couldn't figure out any answers to the "whys" I asked.
I eventually lost all of my interest in life and what I did, deciding to quit university and living directionless and lost.
In those dark days, I came across a professor of mine teaching quantum mechanics. He told me to read about the life of physics pioneers.
5 minutes after the lecture, I was in the library and found the book: "The part and the whole." It was Heisenberg's diary. The first chapter described him doubting what to do with his life; he was confused about pursuing art or science?!
That was enough for me to read the rest of the book and feel not alone for the first time.
Finally, I decided to continue studying physics, and here I am, taking my master's and moving forward. It's more than studying and doing science; it's about life lessons and allowing myself to experience and discover.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving to Italy during the lockdown and the Covid pandemic all on my own without knowing anyone on the whole continent has been one the most courageous things I have ever done.
Also, it's been a while since I started to cut down on eating animals and care more about the environment and my health.
During my bachelor's, I took acting courses for three years. I participated in a student play at a university theatre contest and got the prize for the best actress.
At the beginning of the pandemic, I participated in a writing workshop and wrote about my life, thoughts, and feelings. My writings got eventually published in a book with some other Iranian writers.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some basic words in Persian. Tell you about my country and my culture.
It's also nice to have profound conversations about science, life, art and philosophy. I'm always in.
I like to share my stories, time and of course smile :), while eagerly listen to yours.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can cook some Persian cuisine together.
If you like to learn more about stars, I'm all available.
