Now that I have cleared that up, here's a bit about me!

I love to travel and am open to any adventure that comes my way! I'm always up for meeting new people and seeing new places. Over the last three years, I have traveled through India, Vietnam, Iceland, Qatar, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia and also got to spend a short period of time in South Korea as well! I'm laid back, easy going, clean, organized and happy to help in any way I can, should I stay with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Not only is it an inexpensive way to travel, but you get to meet new people and make awesome connections all around the globe. That's way more fun than hotels!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Death Cab for Cutie, Eddie Vedder, Gregory Alan Isakov, Brand New, The National, Alt-J, Artic Monkeys, Elliot Smith, the Weepies, Bright Eyes, Phillip Wesley, and really most everything else. Music makes me grow.

Movies: Any and every Wes Anderson film (especially the Darjeeling Limited), the Illusionist, The Switch, Into the Wild, The Best of Me, anything with Will Farrell or Ben Stiller (or a good combination of the two), the Green Street Hooligans, the Fountain, The Road Within, The Way, Grown Ups, etc.

I would say I prefer documentaries over movies. I love the realism that comes with them along with the knowledge presented to the viewer. I especially love watching documentaries on nature, travel, sports, music, and world events/crises. Our generation has so much information at their finger tips, and instead of taking advantage of that knowledge, many are wasting so much of their time sitting on social media.

Books: Anthem by Ayn Rand is my all time favorite novel. The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd is right up there with it. I also enjoy reading books that entail Buddhist principles and teachings such as "Be Here Now," and "You Are Here." I enjoy novels on the outdoors, but have trouble staying focused while reading them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I ate 12 scoops of ice cream in 6 minutes, and was only beat out by this kid from Alaska.

On a more serious note, I spent 9 months solo traveling around the world last year!

I'm always looking for more knowledge. You can learn something from every experience, good or bad, and every person has color to add to my life!

I can teach you English, as well as some Hindi and French, and I am a darn good cleaner/ organizer! I am also a certified yoga teacher and would be happy to teach yoga.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help around the house, take care of children and pets, work in your garden, indulge in good conversation, and hopefully be good company for you. If anything I can at least put a smile across your face! :)
