I'm an illustrator based in Hamburg. I'm still in my master studies, working on a children's book about an anemone. Spent a summer in Alaska, starting to work on a graphic novel about childhood... but mostly I work freelance: editorial illustrations for different magazines. Since that work is, though of course wonderful, not entirely fulfilling anymore I decided to start yoga teacher trainings next year. I would love to share what I love about this practice: It enables you to really find a way into your body and to be entirely present.

When being in the large city of Hamburg becomes too stressful for me I love to return to the Bavarian Forrest and spend some time in a really quite environment. I would love to travel more and meet new people. I like the couchsurfing spirit and meeting locals through CS is so much better than staying in hostels. A friend of mine hosted many couchsurfers and it was nice to get to know such different kinds of kind people.

I like to meet people from all over the world who stay in Hamburg for some time and to show them nice bars or vegetarian restaurants, Hamburg harbor or the Elbe riverside.

Now that I have a larger space I'm happy to sometimes host. I prefer to meet people who are doing their best to show up in an authentic way, instead of presenting a cool and perfect version of themselves. I like open conversations and it would be great to meet people with similar interests.

I read almost everything by Milan Kundera, Lars Gustafsson, Ian McEwan, Yael Hedaya, Philip K. Dick... Once I got obsessed with a certain writer I try to read all books he or she has ever written.

I listen to stuff like Timber Timbre, Asaf Avidan, Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, Johnny Flynn, Punch Brothers... I also really love HipHop like Typical Cats, Qwaazar, Alaskan Fishermen...

I cannot name all the movies I like. No special genre, they just have to be good.

I've had the most amazing summer so far in wonderful Sitka, Alaska.

One of the most interesting things I've done was a vipassana retreat with a former buddhist monk. 10 hours of meditation each day can bring you the most intense insights about yourself and life in general.
