About Me

ABOUT ME

Singing Health Coach, Dancing Mom, Poetic Partner, Drawing Writer, Bicycling Tree Lover, Gardening Hydration Expert, Pun-Loving Foodie

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea and spirit of Couchsurfing! Although my life is busy I love the idea of following an intuition to meet and help travelers as much as to be a traveler finding people who open their homes and lives to other travelers. And, it seems like an awesome way to stretch my travel dollars. My son is 14 and I loved being with him rather than working from the time he was born. I got really good at living simply and still prefer to work less and live more. Couchsurfing fits that idea so well, it seems great to join in. I am so glad this website and idea have proliferated so!

Interests

Caring passionately about lots of things, but especially leaving people and places better than I find them. Ensuring we leave a non-toxic environment for 7 generations. Doing my best to ensure that kids alive today can bear children of their own. Sharing the hundreds of Self-Healing Lifestyles I have crafted for myself and my clients for 15 years with others who are sick of prematurely aging. I love helping people to Be Well and Age Well.

Music, Movies, and Books

VERY eclectic music and movies taste, but especially if there is progressive, optimistic, forward-thinking message. I got the only back door into the USC film school, so I am big on film reviewing for CULTURAL value (great discussions ensue!) Books tend to be classics and self-help since, as a Health Coach, there are so many topics to cover that improve our Attitude, Lifestyles, and JOY. I love singing, which is a joy to share, too, (usually agreeable to others since I have honed my voice in 16 years of group singing.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surviving an encounter with a HUGE Moroccan man (with a voice so deep it felt like an earthquake) offering to guide me in my visit (just before catching my first train in Morocco). Amidst terrorizing fear-images of getting sold into slavery or eaten alive, I could not run fast enough to escape the heeby-jeebies he gave me (and the fellow college student I was traveling with). Once on the train (traveling 4-6 miles per hour for over 2 hours) everything outside looked like made-up desert scenes: cloaked people on camels next to palm trees, and endless sand dunes dotted with people in obvious, severe poverty interspersed with men toting machine guns. It was a GREAT, scary, and eventful 10 days!

Another was the sea of beyond-gorgeous and elegant 4th-grader Spanish girls at the zoo in Madrid. Their screaming choruses at the animal feedings left us deaf while our tastebuds sang operatically over the taste of Spanish hot chocolate.

The fullness of a bazillion colors of blue in the oceans around the Greek Isles compared to the vast emptiness (lack of tourists) in Newfoundland's West Coast National Park in Summer 2012. What gorgeous places to be a lone human in Nature!

Teach, Learn, Share

Personalized Self-Healing Lifestyles that will give anyone ENERGY and / or abilities to look and feel younger. This is what I do for a living and I love it so much, it is a joy to share. Ways to get hydrated, eat Delicious Healthier foods, get easy muscle toning, and much more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My vast knowledge of tiny, simple actions that help people feel so much better, they want to do something else to feel even better. I call this a "Delicious Cycle" (as in the 'opposite' of a 'vicious cycle.')

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
