About Me
Hello!
I'm an outdoorsy, impulsive, knowledge-hungry girl who is always looking for different ways to explore. I'm naturally relaxed, easy-going, and can get along with pretty well everyone and anyone!
I grew up in a small town, and thankfully I had the inclination to want to always experience and see more, rather than stay comfortable and close to home.
I am a self-proclaimed "tree person in training." Which means I spend each day in the forest, and happen to get paid while doing so. I am currently studying forestry in school, but previously for the past few years I worked as an arborist which means I woke up every day to climb trees with a chainsaw.
In my off time, I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors with my dog. I love hiking, kayaking, swimming, camping, biking... basically anything where I can be active in fresh air.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am a proud frugal traveller, but I also love to connect with the local community and have a more authentic experience. I'd like to be a little bit more than just a "tourist." I try to caution more towards being an ethical visitor as much as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies that I could watch over and over again include LOTR & The Princess Bride.
I don't necessarily have a favourite book, but my favourite author is Chuck Palahniuk!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in a government run cultural exchange where I was matched with a girl in Ghana who was my age and lived in a host family in Ghana for three months, and then she got to come back and lived in Canada with me for the same amount of time! We had a group of 9 Canadians matched with 9 Ghanaians and it was an indescribable experience where I learned about what it meant to integrate and share culture.
Countries I’ve Visited
Ghana, Iceland, Jamaica, United States
