About Me

Itinerant wanderlust

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring, learning, and accepting life in its mysterious ways;

Forging a worthwhile purpose;
Perfecting the 'Do No Harm and Take No Shit' doctrine;

ABOUT ME

I enjoy staying active and finding peace in the flow or amidst unperturbed nature

I seek out enrapturing experiences, where instincts/experience take over and create something new on the fly- art, movement, and even navigating through cities on foot with paper maps without a plan (improvisation of sorts, though you'll likely see me spinning in place to get the phone compass positioned correctly or hauling ass trying to catch a plane/train when late)

Big fan of empirical sciences, philosophy, arts, meditation, scientifically-grounded spirituality, balance, cooking, and meta-cognition, biology, psychology; technology

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet strangers across different geographies, cultures, and histories; and learn, exchange ideas, share experiences, grow; and understand our earth, ourselves, and the opportunities in this one and precious life better

Specifically, I'm keen on meeting open-minded people who aspire to become global citizens and stewards/esses of prior humanists' goodwill and legacies.

Double and extra points for outdoors adventurers and enthusiasts!

I can be quite reserved at first but will warm up to ya quickly

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy articles off WSJ, NYT, qz, natil.us, and NPR and listen to audibooks and podcasts

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen:

Aurora Borealis from near the summit of Mt. Nuolja, 1 hour hike from the Abisko Sky Station

Solar Eclipse of 2017 in NA

Teach, Learn, Share

My desire to learn:

Comparing and contrasting perspectives as they are;
Good local food and odd cultural quirks;
Authentic connections: Dreams, hopes, and interests of strangers encountered by pure chance;
Memorable experiences and maybe occasional nice things

What I Can Share with Hosts

Whatever I know that's of interest

*I don't mind helping out with random things- regular run-of-the-mill boring daily activities are interesting in and of itself. I can always lend a hand to move things around, clean, or help with errands (eg: prepping affordable dinner for students at Uppasala Nations; helping strangers carry a dresser cabinet to the nearest U-bahn station that I saw on the street in Berlin) I really enjoy a 'slice of life' elsewhere (to me, the mundane is like French cooking)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Jamaica, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Scotland, South Korea, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

South Korea, United States
