About Me
Hi,
I'm Mushthaq!
I'm currently an Associate at Genpact. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people, and I believe in the power of shared experiences to build connections. I have a curious nature and love learning about different cultures, especially through local perspectives. When I'm not working, you'll find me exploring new places, trekking, capturing moments through videography, enjoying good food, or going on long drives. I'm easygoing, respectful, and always eager to share stories over a cup of coffee or a meal.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I love the idea of connecting with like-minded travelers and locals who are open to sharing their experiences and stories. Traveling is more than just visiting new places; it's about immersing yourself in the local culture, making genuine connections, and seeing the world through different perspectives. Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to do just that, and I'm excited to be part of this community where I can meet new people, learn from them, and hopefully share a bit of my own journey too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I have a diverse taste in music and enjoy everything from classic rock to modern pop. Some of my favorite artists include Coldplay, A. R. Rahman, and Ed Sheeran. I love exploring different genres and discovering new sounds.
Movies: I'm a big fan of movies that tell compelling stories and evoke strong emotions. Some of my all-time favorites are The Shawshank Redemption, Dead Poets Society, Kumbalangi Nights, Rockstar, and CID Moosa. I also enjoy watching thought-provoking documentaries and feel-good comedies.
Books: I’ll admit, I’m a bit lazy when it comes to reading, but I do have a few favorites that have left a lasting impression on me. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Ram C/o Anandhi, and Aadu Jeevitham are among the books I cherish.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing adventure I had was a trip to the Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand with my college friends. We set out with just ₹2000 each for a week, embracing the spirit of adventure over comfort. We hitchhiked on trucks and tractors, rode horses through the mountains, and stayed at a gurdwara, temple, and mosque along the way. The highlight was witnessing breathtaking glacier views and even experiencing snowfall. It was a journey that reminded me that the best experiences aren’t about money, but about embracing the unexpected and connecting with the world around you.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: To be honest, I’m not very confident in teaching, but I’m happy to update others about the finance and economics world and share my experiences of traveling to 24 out of 28 states in India while I was a student.
Learn: I’m always eager to learn about different cultures, local traditions, and new perspectives. I’m particularly interested in expanding my knowledge of various cuisines and exploring unique travel experiences.
Share: I love sharing my adventurous travel stories, especially those that highlight the joy of embracing new challenges and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer a friendly and respectful presence, along with interesting stories from my travels and adventures. I’m always happy to share practical tips on Kerala cuisine and the best Kerala dishes. Additionally, I’m open to discussing cinema (whether it’s Bollywood, Mollywood, Hollywood, etc.), music, and I’m really passionate about drives and hiking. I appreciate the opportunity to learn from my hosts and am eager to contribute to a warm and welcoming exchange.
