ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm someone who enjoys deep conversations about world politics, philosophy, and history—but I’m equally up for a light chat over coffee or while exploring a new neighborhood. I’ve always been fascinated by foreign cultures and languages, which led me to study political science and international relations.

After spending two years working as an EU expert at the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade, I realized that Ankara wasn’t quite the place for me. So I followed my heart to Istanbul—a city I felt I had to live in.

Now, I work for a United Nations agency where I do my small part in trying to unite nations, make the world a better place, and enjoy the beautiful chaos of life in Istanbul. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Well I dont think that life has an inherent meaning. People are attributing meanings to it. The meaning I attribute to life is trying to make the world a better place to live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can say that Couchsurfing has changed my life. Thanks to this site I've met many cool people from all around the World with whom I am still in contact. I also had the chance to host some people in Ankara and Istanbul which were quite good experiences.

Interessen

I am into music and all kinds of arts, social sciences, meeting new people, philosophy, discussing, laughing, making friends, learning, doing sports, reading...

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I have some favourite movies such as Braveheart, Men of Honor, Land and Freedom, Germinal, English Patient, The Reader etc. I especially like based on a true story movies.
I like Turkish Folk Music and Classical Music the best but listen to everything that sounds good to me.
Some of my favourite books are Crime and Punishment, The Green Mile, Martin Eden, and all books of Zülfü Livaneli.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach Turkish, I can advice the best places to see in İstanbul, would love to guide foreigners in the most beautiful city of the world! I would like to practise English especially with native speakers, practise and learn more German before I totally forget it, learn French which sounds very nice to me:)
